I think any sane person would agree that WMD in the hands of a madman is dangerous. Only problem is that he didn't have any WMD. The intelligence put forth was not well vetted. With that kind of intelligence we should have taken more advantage of weapons inspections prior to an all out invasion.

You've taken Kerry out of context here. But that seems to be the norm for most neocons trying to justify how we got into such a mess in Iraq.

Bush and Cheney told Congress and the American people that Saddam had WMD. If he had them it certainly made sense to disarm him to me, and to most Americans. I began to have my doubts though when Bush called for all weapons inspectors to leave Iraq. At that point I smelled a rat. Now we all can see that time was running out on Bush, as the inspectors had already cleared the top suspected sites as being WMD free.
