"Nice job. Portray the fine young men of our American military as baby killing, goose stepping thugs and terrorists.
Nice job, ignore the fact that my post revealed your "poof" post as simplistic, wrong headed thinking and change the subject to "I support our troops."
But why resort to yet another silly, sissy post?
Because do you think it's a Ken and Barbie world in Iraq?
Do you believe that tens of thousands of civilians haven't been killed in Iraq?
Do you assert that a substantial percentage of them haven't been killed by American troops with missiles, bombs, artillery, mortars, and hand held weapons?
Do you deny that the vast majority of our troops don't speak the language and that sometimes they kill people based on misunderstandings?
No? Then what are you talking about?
I'll help you out, however. The guy I was closest to in Vietnam was a "baby killer." I was out of the field getting medical treatment and he took my place walking point the one time we worked an area where there were civilians. Something moved and he reacted and killed a Vietnamese woman and child. He never told me about it until 20 years later when we met and he got really drunk. It was a fucking nightmare that he couldn't shake, ever.
Yeah, he was a "baby killer." So are a lot of our soldiers serving in Iraq.
Grow up. It's not the clean-cut American soldiers who never make mistakes, never overreact, never shoot first and think second, always protect women and children, never torture prisoners, never rape women war you've evidently been brainwashed to believe it is. It's a goddamn war. A WAR!
It is what it is and don't be enough of a fool to believe it's some kind of altruistic, antiseptic, boy scout outing. And yes, the things I wrote about happen over there and those events create terrorists who'll die to kill those of us they see as part of the tribe that "did this to my people." Ed |
