The case involves Libby's version of a conversation versus Russets. Proving that other news people were aware of Plame's identity is circumstantial evidence to support Libby's version versus Russet. The Jury can figure that Russet is not telling the truth when he said he was unaware of Plames identity and thus there is reasonable doubt as to who is giving the straight version of the conversation. In addition, I would contact all of Russets friends and people he worked with to see what they knew and whether Russet ever spoke anythng that would indicate he knew Plames identity. And finally , is Libby in the habit of calling of reporters and complaining about the schedule of people on msnbc. If not this gives credence to Libby's version and not Russets.
