Hi Thread, my company is upgrading some notebooks and most will be buying Dells.

But for myself, I prefer something light-weight (3lb) so am considering:

1) ThinkPad X41 (3.2 lb) 1.60GHz 2MB L2 400MHz FSB, 512MB Mem, w fingerprint, 12" screen

2) Sony TX 650 P/B (2.78 lb) but only 1.2GHz, no fingerprint, 11" screen.

3) Dell Latitude D410
Inspiron 700m

But there are no weights provided on the Dell notebooks.

Anyone know which Dell notebook is around 3lb?

( 4lb would be too large )

My preference is 1.60GHz w 1GB memory w 11" screen <= 3.2lb

I do not need a CD/DVD burner - that only adds weight.

Thank you,
Amy J PS Why can't Dell's website have a button on the homepage that says "here's our lightest laptops"..."starting 2.5lb"? It's impossible to efficiently find their lightest notebooks. When is Dell going to get fingerprint on their notebooks.
