interesting, sunw is expected to earn .09 a share in fiscal 07...imo the market is really really giving this company the benefit of the doubt. This has to do with the positive environment for tech stocks right now. As I said, this company needs to earn much more than that to support even a $4 stock price. As such, in the next bear market, I expect the shares to suffer much more than the average stock. But another risk is that Mcnealy is replaced and the new CEO does the housecleaning needed to lower the cost structure. That's bad for a computer company (which is why Scott avoids it) because ibm and dell and hp would paint sun micro as a money losing company future uncertain. And fortune 1000 customers don't buy from companies like that. Of course I was wrong before on this stock so don't take any action based on this prediction, for your own protection!
