it’s just a perception issue as no one disagrees that the Q is entitled to compensation from the chipset mfg (except apparently TXN) for their Essential IPR.

How in the world is this a perception issue? It is pretty simple, if a handset manufacturer uses a Qualcomm chipset instead of an identically priced Broadcom chipset, they pay less royalties.

BTW, TI acknowledges Q's IPR, they just have IPR of their own which Q decided was also essential.
