Hi Dadunnes! What can be very important to a certain group my not be for others side that group. If a person outside that group emits an opinion, it does't necessarily, follow that he has envy.

I drive what the company give me to do my work. My wife drives a Fiat Marea in Brazil.

My postings tries to show that:

The market for small cars will grow.

The market for biodiesel and thanol powered cars will grow.

The market for big cars and SUV's will vanish

FORD and GM are history and will merge.

The only SUV I drove (apart form a Blazer in the US) was a Toyota Landcruiser in Nigeria. For that place it was wonderful. I wouldn't use in any urban developed country.

At Motorola I used to hear my friend ( not a kid but a 40 year old) speaking about his huge pick up truck and how he used to overtake up hill those smaller cars...

It is a typical American thing. It is not like that all over the world. Cars are not exactly object of desire or machismo all over the place.
