Series I savings bonds paying 6.7%(!) as of this month. High rate due to high inflation per their method of calculation. I think savings bonds are the best possible place to park cash. No taxes until redeemed, interest compounds, can purchase online. Limited to $30,000 per year per social security number, but $30,000 now for both husband and wife and $30,000 in January =$120,000

Not much hype because nobody's getting a broker fee.
