the women in Iraq now live in a "modified muslim state". Sorry, this is not an improvement from Saddam Hussein who had a secular society with many women professionals and excellent educational system for all.

You aren't going to get much support from the women in the US to go to war to *create* another Afganistan, especially since Afganistan and the Taliban regime was the #1 requested aid donation locale for women's groups in the 90s.

Women are half the country of Iraq despite what the US military puts forth (hardly any discussion of the plight of the women in Iraq post-invasion). How can anybody defend this. The women "raped by the baathists" were how much of the population there? Vs. the prospect of being unable to educate any female child.

God, get some perspective, when Iraq goes down to a Vietnam-ish sentiment, where americans are embarrassed to admit we went there and distrustful of any vet, people like you will be dumbfounded as to why.
