"our capacity to liberate ourselves from what you call contraction is limited" I would agree with you and go further than that and say (instead of "limited"), NON-EXISTENT because our efforts contain our strategy which is based on: -- there is something to be gained -- I am somehow separated from the Divine If we arise IN the Divine, and if there is NOTHING BUT THE DIVINE, then there is nothing to be gained, no separation in actuality. But something to be REALIZED. Which, in my experience we CANNOT do entirely on our own without the assistance of a BUDDHA or equivalent, the process being surrender INTO the Divine with the very great assistance of the Spiritual Master.
