Libby's client Marc Rich did not give CLinton any money. I believe a modest donation was made to his presidential library. That does not go into Clinton's pocket. The pay-off charge is another rightwing smear. Compare to WorldCom which gave Trent Lott a million bucks for a library he isn't even remotely close to building. Now that was a pay-off. The rumor I heard was that Israeli intelligence begged Clinton to pardon him. But it's just a rumor. I happen to know Denise Rich slightly. She's an attractive super-social fun-loving rich woman, but not politically minded. However, she can throw big parties and invite all her rich friends, thereby being a good fundraiser. SO she's a valuable friend to have. I may be wrong but I believe she's divorced from Marc. In any case, it's very unlikely Rich had his wife or ex-wife sleep with Clinton to get a pardon. WOuldn't work anyway. Also just wait to see all the fat cat white collar criminals Bush pardons. ALl his closest friends.
