Tell me this: Why does the CC look very much like the pharisees and old testament priests of old, and how is it that the pope (he had to know, right?) and priests protected all the perverts that proclaimed to be priests and yet were child molesters for years, and more than just a few! And look at ALL the rules and regulations that the CC bound on it's followers over the years....yet SOME they change their mind about...others??? from God or man?
I'm quite certain you have proved you know little of the Catholic church or how it's teachings are fully faithful to Our Lord.
you could be right, I have no intention of reading a Catholic rulebook, and any other denominational rulebook.. Can you tell me why have they changed over the years? Including the almost godlike adoration and prayers to Mary, which did not even begin until 431AD? from man or God? And does the catchism really teach that Mary remained a virgin perpetually? How can that be? Can you show me in scripture where any prayer was offered through Mary? Mary is a women to be remembered, as God promised,(The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.") but I have never seen Biblical scripture that ever made Mary a "Mediatrix."
All I need is the Bible and the Holy Spirit, not any church rule book. (that is NOT to say I do not need the people in the CHurch from day to day, and even corporatly. Most of what I have seen in CC services has just been traditional stuff replayed the world over week after week, and the same can be said for many denominations.
Having said that, I sure pray that I see "Mother" Teresa in heaven, and many other of my Christian Catholic friends in heaven, by the grace of God.
Jesus is the Head of the Church. It is His church, and the pope, IMO, is a man offered the same grace as we all are. How do you feel about a man that the world claims to follow and speak for Christ, yet has to travel around with a huge entourage and a bulletproof car just to wave at folks? And just what riches are hidden in the depths of the vatican, yet the very people he is waving at are often very poor, what is up with that?
Speaking of "some" who "claim to be"...as it was said that Ghandi once said..."If men saw Christ in Christians they would follow Him, as it is men see the Christians in Christ and reject Him."
that includes all, with me the chief at times, Christians. Something we all need to remember.
