I chose a few names of the hundreds of thousands of clergy. I read a judgement of yours based upon the actions of a few.

If you chose to believe the CC looks very much like the pharisees and old testament priests of old, I can only say I think you are blind and ignorant of the real vast majority of the clergy of the Catholic Church. As Jesus said to Peter, that which you bind on earth is bound in heaven, well Catholic Church specific rules are rules. Beyond rules, the spirit of the moral teachings seem perfectly at one with the life of Christ as I know it.

And in the scandal of priests who betrayed youth, their vows and Christ, The Church of Christ is really about forgiveness and absolution. That is a real spiritual and physical belief, especially for clergy. In the situation of child abuse, it creates an very complex dilemma.

The Clergy I have known are kind and very giving individuals. The do their life day after day and year after year.

Now as to praying to Mary or the idea of the Rosary. It's not in any way a deification. If you care try this link.

Through the centuries many ordinary Christians have found that Hail Mary and the Rosary a source of spiritual blessing. A prayer like the rosary is both simple and profound. Not beyond anyone's reach, its repeated words bring peace to the soul. And the mysteries of joy, sorrow and glory recalled from Jesus' life are meant to be repeated in our own. Through these mysteries, we hope to "imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise."
