And you are missing my point, which is that attorneys represent clients from both sides of the political fence. Given the fees involved, Marc Rich was a desirable client. I am currently trying to complete a deal with a former Democratic lobbyist, an individual fairly close to David Wilhelm. He knows my politics. Will it impede our ability to get a deal done? Hopefully not, though I do wash my hands after we shake. Marc Rich is probably apolitical.
