It was the right thing to do to remove Saddam's regime from power whether he had WMDs or not. He was an authoritarian dictator hated by a population of ~20 million that he oppressed for 20 years. He took a country on economic par with Spain and turned it into a basket case and international pariah, and all the economic and health care suffering for the Iraqi population that goes along with that transformation. His regime's removal makes the world a better place to live.
