re: There is a substantial contingent of economists who agree that this economy is pretty damned good. While not all do, I believe it would be correct to say that there has never been general agreement amongst economists on any particular issue. Sure it's good, most of the increasing federal spending is debt. War is great for business, if you are not paying for it. I could make my economy just great by getting a dozen credit cards and charging them to the max. But then there is the pay back thing... and as that happens we're likely to see the nastiest recession of my lifetime. The stupid Neo's are paying for their "new American century" scheme with the prosperity of the next generation. Yeah, it's "pretty damn good".
