Yes, God is in control and He does things in His own time.

My oldest brother passed away late Wednesday evening. He had been sick for a year and the last nine months were extremely rough for him so we were all releived that he didn't suffer or linger any longer then he did.

His viewing was on Friday and the funeral was Saturday, the weekend that the big motorcycle rally was in Galveston. Several of his friends commented on how well the timing was of his passing because so many of his friends would be in the area at the rally. We just smiled and said it was fate. Otherwise, more then half of them wouldn't have been able to be in town for the services.

It was an interesting mix of people at the funeral. We were all asked to double up because the cemetery was small and there wouldn't be enough room for everyone. Also, the noise level would be deafening with all the motorcycles there.

Little blue haired women in their Sunday finest standing beside big burley bikers sharing a hymn book and singing Amazing Grace was a site to behold.<g> The women all brought food and the bikers brought their beer coolers. Quite a feast!
