Mr. Joe Horne reports

VAULT MINERALS COMMENCES PHASE I DIAMOND DRILL PROGRAM ON ITS KIRKLAND GOLD PROJECT

Vault Minerals Inc. has commenced a phase I diamond drill program on its Kirkland gold property that is designed to test targets interpreted from a recently completed compilation.

Approximately 5,000 metres of coring from 15 drill holes is scheduled to test a range of structurally hosted gold targets that include projected faults which are parallel and subparallel to the Kirkland Lake Main break fault horizon that produced 24 million ounces of gold.

Proposed drill holes will test for fault-shear systems that both crosscut, and which are concordant with, steeply dipping syenites as well as moderately dipping sequences of bedded sediments and volcanic tuffs which may provide favourable structural settings for gold emplacement.

The first drill hole, KL05-01, has been collared on the northern portion of the property and is designed to intersect the following targets through its planned 900-metre length:

projected eastern extension of the Amalgamated-Kirkland fault;
down-dip projections of surface veins which have been identified from a 1928 government geology map and recent field mapping;
structures that may trend along bedding of a south-dipping sediment-tuff assemblage; and
projected up-dip extensions of vein systems which have been identified on the 2,700-foot level drift originating from the prolific Lake Shore mine.

A general location map showing the drill hole's location is attached or may be viewed on Vault's website.
