I agree Jim, I am a senior programmer/analyst with 18 years experience. My company has been working on this problem for 2 years. We started to design new systems with 4 digit year fields back in the mid 80's. All of this hype and fear is coming from those who are not in this line of work and do not fully understand it.

There will be problems in Jan 2000, all large projects do because it is very difficult to have a test system that is just like production. But the near hysteria that some people are trying to generate is way out of line.
