McCain claims he's fighting for this amendment to protect our troops. You don't buy that I take it. McCain's position is based on his 5 years of POW time, not on his troop time. He was a pilot, he has no troop time. Being a POW is a raw deal. Always was. War is a raw deal. If McCain really wanted to protect our troops, he would be calling for the slaughter of every Muslim terrorist who wants to kill all Jews, Christians and Americans. I think it would help McCain's viewpoint if he would watch the film of each and every beheading and shooting of captured Americans.
