Geoff, Yeah, there are some decent, friendly, and law abiding moslems in America, and probably elsewhere, but some of them are wearing a mask. I noticed that shortly after 9/11. Around here, as in many places, all of the convenient stores, and small motels, are owned by moslems, and I bought my gas, and tidbits, at several of those stores close to home. After the attack on 9/11, their demeanor was drastically changed. They scowled at non-moslem customers, and were snapping at them as if they were underlings. I didn't appreciate that, told them so, and took my business to other places.
There is a Mosque about a half mile from our home, and we see moslems frequently, and those that really believe in their religion, are the gentle, peaceful, and friendly, ones. Like in Christianity, those that attend church, or have strong feelings about the teachings of Jesus, are inclined to be good people, and those that don't believe, are the trouble makers. Of course, that statement is a generality, and doesn't fit all. |
