tax on gas guzz.. takes several years for the old ones to come off the market. new gas guzz ,, if people want them they will pay the tax. similar to luxury tax in 90's i remember paying for bmw 540 a luxury tax. People buying these big engines right now could care less about cost of gas. of course you will knock off mid income , married , suv's for family. But the single person who wants the big engine , lots of horse power is not going to be stopped by a tax. or those who can afford those type cars.
