Well I'm a mutt being half Norwegian and then Scottish, Irish, Welsh and who knows what else. But in our area we still celebrate the Norwegian heritage and that isn't the deal. It's fine to celebrate your heritage it's quite another to demand your new country bow to your needs.

When my Great Grandmother started school she and many others didn't speak English but they weren't taught in anything but English. It was demanded by the school and their families that they learned the language of their new country. We don't seem to do that anymore. My GGP's could tell you in very short order why they left Norway. They came here for a new and better life. They had no desire to keep Norway alive because they left for a reason.

That isn't the case anymore.
