MAD MONK,

I am not sure I understand EDM's explanation of the fairytale.

The boy yelled out loud in the marketplace, denouncing his former parents, and hailing his new ones. I understand why he would love his new parents, for they helped him make money with the new toy he made and presented to his new parents, (saying his old ones ripped him off) but why did he denounce the old parents - out loud?

Every boy knows that yelling nasty things out loud for everyone to hear about parents (former or present) is bad form. What was his motive? Is there a relationship between the parents that is not visible on the surface?

I find it hard to believe that the boy simply lost his cool, when yelling, and suspect some other, much more clever reason, but don't have a clue what it could be. You?
