Funny you should mention that ... was recently chatting with one of those 20-something college students you often see at the coffee shops, dive bars and Ken Burns museum exhibits. She had the full complement of piercings, the requisite "Tramp Stamp" tattoo (those backside inks, just 3 inches above butt crack), and was nearing completion of her M.S. Education degree. Inquiring about her desire to become an elementary teacher, I received in reply:

"Like, you know, English is my mother tongue and stuff."
