thats not funny.... as much as we think we are invisible. we can be seen. with just a few numbers and a internet connection our history can be revealed. if you are on the internet. you can be seen. a way around it is too route traffic thru a couple of wireless routers. wardrivers do it. but that will only work in highly populated areas that have large numbers of open access points to acquire signal from. ip spoofing is not technically illegal but it does mask the source ip and makes the source almost invisible. a righteous firewall box helps a bunch too. i like the cisco firewalls but just use a generic firebox at home. cisco's are expensive. all this to just post to a chat thread. some do......like invisibility
