One can only hope that other politicians have the guts to stand up. This is coming from both sides of the political fence: Rivals for N.J. Governor Endorse Medical Marijuana 10/13/2005 Both the Democratic and Republican candidates for governor of New Jersey said state residents should be allowed to use marijuana for medical purposes, the Asbury Park Press reported Oct. 12. During a radio interview, both U.S. Sen. Jon Corzine (D-N.J.) and Republican Doug Forrester said that doctors should be allowed to prescribe marijuana as medicine. "Under the proper circumstances, I think we need to provide all medical resources, and that includes what is emerging now with regard to this particular application," Forrester said. "I'm very much open to that."
