Bonds are back to that strained look going into the 5 year auction. FCBs don't really own these longer dates like they do shorter, so all these 5-10-30 year auctions are going to require "other sources". Who has who trapped? Looks like FCBs can dictate their rate.

Maturity structure FCB holdings of Treasuries 6-30-2004 (the latest date available):

less than 1: 19.6%
1-2: 23.7%
2-3: 11.7
3-4: 9.3
4-5: 12.8
5-6: 2.8
over 6: 20.1
