paret, street drug legalization isn't a political issue it's a health and social issue, both reps and dems are starting to realize this. I liked many of the things Nixon did while he was in office and I believe that he's historically under appreciated. But, treating drugs as a criminal problem instead of a health problem and launching the so called "war on drugs" was the most inane thing I've seen any politician do. As I said earlier, the so called cure is infinitely worse than the disease!
