Turtles, WLD.

Did a first quick scan of those Turtle Rules.....Since I don't trade futures, lots of it not relevant to me, BUT interested to see what look like some alignments with long-standing biases/practices of mine:

1. Entry.....WAIT for breakout.....My "breakout"...for stocks....based on classic TA, which means that I...as the Turtles.....always pay more than the bottom-fishers (particularly the EW ones.....g).

2. Exit......Stops ONLY to stop losses......not to protect profits...For that, important to maximize winnings and in the process tolerate pullbacks in a strong uptrend ..even if fairly hefty........until a breakdown point confirmed ..again different in my case since I rely on TA rather than some kind of 20d ATR trigger (details of which I don't remember).

Most spectacular application my rules, per above, obviously AAPL over the past now almost 2 1/2 years....Have some similar lesser lights.....e.g. things like ACR and TIE, which just keep goin' and goin' and......Also btw should note one that I recently flubbed by violating my rules and unnecessarily selling to protect profits ..(I thought) ....in ISRG... vbg......

As you can see, my appreciation/understanding Turtle Rules very sketchy.....but not sure I'll be looking to them very much as of any real use to me. Interesting, though, and thanks for widening my horizons......which is something I normally resist....LOL
