All: Microsoft clobbered on cover of current issue of Barron's. The cover says

"GOING SOFT? Microsoft's stock is overpriced, its core business is threatened, and now Bill Gates wants to be a media mogul. A shareholders' nightmare."

I had been thinking about selling my MSFT, but I suspect this cover will have some impact on the price next week. A bit too late to sell now, perhaps.

I'd be interested in hearing Bob's rationale for having maintained a "hold" on this stock recently. Obviously a "hold" must mean Bob thinks there is more upside potential than downside risk over some time frame, and that to get out now is to risk benefitting from the significant upside potential. But I'd like to hear it from him.

Perhaps he views MSFT as a "put under the mattress" stock that's to be held for very long term, and he wouldn't consider issuing a "sell" signal if a correction is anticipated to "only" last a year or less. But we certainly lose some opportunity if we sit on this stock while it corrects 40% from its high. Other thoughts anyone?

ps. buyHIman i've got a deal for you--my MSFT for $150!
