Oops! Looks like I'll have to do a better job covering my tracks. I really don't see where OMPT is getting all of its lift. The price is too spooky for me to revisit. I talked a friend into buying at $16--he's still holding. Everytime he see's me, he calls me "Danny My Boy", so I guess I'm still his friend.

Pairgain looks like a good play and worth staying in until the day before they announce (10/14). By then earning expectations will have been bid into price.

Too bad you can't free up some cash for RMTR--trust you are already on the margin. Ramtron has a lot of good news on the horizon which will carry it through 98Q1. I imagine next week 15-19 will be the last week we see RMTR below $9. Hopefully, Rohm will announce it is volume producing 16K FRAM the following week at SEMICON. I'm predicting this announcement will drive RMTR to $10. In October, Hitachi is expected to announce volume production of 256K FRAM, and by end of the year IBM is expected to announce production (or is that sampling) of 16Mb ESDRAM. Other hopefulls include a new license agreement, an MOA with Thompson, and maybe further proliferation into the smartcard business via Cubic et al. Of course, placement of the Benton shares will be a Tell Tale of things to come--I'm waiting to see if a large tech company takes 'em all in an equity placement.
