from my favorite blog...

The Senate has been fussing over the Defense Authorization Bill, and Tom Harkin (Donk-Iowa) spent almost two days on - get this - making the case that Rush Limbaugh's show has too much exposure on Armed Forces Radio. AFRN carries one hour of Rush's three hour show, but that's too much. Sen Inhofe (R OK) countered that all of NPR's programming is carried, and that more than balances Rush Limbaugh's 1 hour. Which brings us to the silliness. Here's Sen. Byron Dorgan (D ND) responding ...

DORGAN: I assume it's a joke but I can't be sure because I've heard it more than one. My colleague from Oklahoma said, "Well, Rush Limbaugh is balanced by National Public Radio." How you could actually make that assertion without openly laughing is hard for me to understand. That certainly must be a joke. National Public Radio doesn't counterbalance right-wing talk. National Public Radio if there is something in this country that is fair and balanced, I believe that's it. National Public Radio isn't about political programming on the right or the left.

Dorgan believes it. Make no mistake, Dorgan believes that NPR is middle of the road mainstream . Mike Wallace told his kid, on Sunday, that he does not believe there is an ounce of liberal bias at CBS. He -- no they -- believe that crap. If you hang with flies, shit becomes a delicacy. That's a fact.
