OT John, your post is logical and well articulated. I'd prefer stronger incentives that move the country in a forwarding direction towards alternative sources of energy - admittedly solutions aren't turned on overnight, but am eternally optimistic engineers can solve hard problems like this, provided the incentives create the environment for them to do so. RE: "ps i ran allocations in 1972 and it worked fine." This went over my head - where were you running allocations? Replying to your other post here, moving troops is a perfectly normal & certainly an expected task to do immediately after the 9/11 attack. However, other things performed by a certain corporation do not warrant lead-times, and this corporation knew the USA was going to go to war in Iraq, and they knew this somehow before Congress knew - how is that? This wasn't business executives making a calculated business risk, but executing on direction from govt guidance, probably Cheney. When exactly was the fabricated story created - was that prior to 6 months before the war?
