Stephen..... I find a lot of companies technologically interesting, and that sometimes pushes me to own them prematurely...for instance I have small positions in ARIA, CEGE, TGEN and RZYM, all gene therapy companies that will be big someday, but are struggling now for recognition (and to keep their share prices up!).
Things I own more of and feel have plenty of upside soon are SNUS, INCY, AFFX, GILD, AGPH, and GLFD..... that's more or less what I'm holding right now. Genomics is going to be huge, and big pharma recognizes it, and so it will be hard to lose with the better genomics companies. The others, like SNUS, GLFD and AGPH are more special situations, with outstanding products and leadership that promise more.
By the way only about 20% of my portfolio is biotech, though thats most fun. The bulk is in mutual funds... electronics, energy services, small caps. |
