Here's some stuff I wrote about Glaspie in 2003. Glaspie is one those people that should be teaching rather than being in the middle of the action. I am more interested in her as a person than anything she might have done as a diplomat. I am pretty sure she messed things up somehow and James Baker did a remarkable job keeping it quiet. It must have been a doosie. Out of curiosity however, I would like to know (maybe not right now) what she did and how it might have impacted history.
