Thanks. As for bird flu, I have done everything I can to prepare for a Pandemic so I don't worry about it anymore. I must admit I like my new P228. In the past 6 months my father, father in law, and two of my four neighbors have added insulation to their homes. A third neighbor is getting her roof fixed today and will add more insulation afterwards. The fourth was a renter and moved out in the middle of the night last week :) I read an article the other day about a family who bought a big house without considering the costs of heating and cooling it. They both work and are just barely making all the payments now. They were talking turtlenecks and long johns this winter. You wouldn't think the owners of a $600K+ house are a step away from bankruptcy, but it appears to be getting very common in this country. Between real estate taxes, heating costs, gasoline costs, and the dropping home prices/sales anyone who is stretched thin right now is in for a whole lot of pain this winter! Watch for a big drop in discretionary consumer spending in the next few months.
