Also, I had Verizon DSL and tried it out, cancelled it after 10 days. My internet connection would get disconnected. Then Verizon was saying it could be my inside wiring -- so I said take it back, my dial-up connection with AOL worked perfectly for the last 6 years. Plus, I didn't like all the equipment I had to attach to every phone in the house to get DSL. My kitchen wall phone jutted out like an eye-sore. Whenever there was a problem, you had to go and unhook all the gizmos on the multiple phones I had. It was a pain. So, I'll just wait for BPL or connect to the cable, but I didn't find any advantage w/DSL. GR
