I have stayed out of the 'cowardice' debate both on this subject and in relation to the Palestinian cause, but I think everyone misses the point.

What is the point? Well this is entirely my opinion, but I think you are both right (and I guess both wrong).

Al-Qaeda, Al-Zarqawi and others are all cowards - as is anyone who plans and operates as they do. We have already seen this with many captured Al-Qaeda or Palestinian leaders. They do not die to avoid capture or take out as many as they can at the end. We see or hear when they get perp walked in Israel or flown to Gitmo.

However, the idiots they convince to wrap themselves in c4 and ball bearings are often very brave (if brainwashed).
