SHOW US ONE FACT THAT IS NOT CORRECT IN THE PETER LEWIS ARTICLE

paret, let's see, where to start.......

Billionaires Peter Lewis and George Soros have each pledged $10 million to America Coming Together, a newly formed political organization designed to defeat President Bush in the next presidential election.

Last time I checked.... yep, I'm still in America where it's supposed to be ok to like or dislike anybody, including our President. Although I'm not going to waste time researching it, I assume that "America Coming Together" is a pro Democratic organization, I'm supposed to get upset about this? Am I still in America?

It also states he gave 50 million to the Guggenheim Museum? What, this makes him a bad man? That Hoovers describes him as "a functioning pothead"? This just goes further to dispel other myths about potheads being all lazy people with little to no purpose in life. He has a purpose, a successful business and believes in giving money to causes he believes in, it is still legal to give money and time to a democrat isn't it? Call me obtuse but I still don't see your complaint about him. Anyway, let's continue.

His house features an elaborate series of paintings of Chinese communist Mao Tse-tung by Andy Warhol.

Well, there's no accounting for taste in art but the last time I checked Andy Warhol was still considered a legitimate artist by the world at large...what are they trying to insinuate to the reader by putting this in their story?

Lewis, who proudly describes himself as "half screwball, half businessman," showed up at a meeting with a Cleveland City Council president wearing a Lone Ranger outfit. Of course there's no accounting for taste in clothes. I notice that the article that claims to be the voice of so called "Accuracy in Media" seems to have a grudge against him....So much for the idea that AIM is anymore than a right wing Christian front. What ever they are they certainly aren't unbias. What about this article:

toledoblade.com

What an ogre eh? Of course the toledoblade only prints liberal hogwash, but somehow that article rings truer to me than the first.

The anti-drug group, National Families in Action, says that Lewis has "contributed heavily to the destruction of thousands of America's children" by promoting the medical marijuana hoax and leading kids to believe that "pot is OK."

This would lead one to believe that Lewis is going to elementary schools and lecturing 3rd graders on the benefits of smoking pot. AIM couldn't have twisted the truth here could they? Could it be that since he believes as I do, that pot should be legal that AIM twisted that into us condoning use of pot to children and young adults under the age of 21? Or was this one of the worse cases of yellow journalism since William Randolph Hearst?

Paret, do you really want me to continue because this is only going to get worse............. Please don't post me anymore AIM articles if the rest of what they write is anything like this they're the biggest anti-american web site that there is and I'll pick them clean just like I did this one.
