Xerox India hosts road shows in Delhi & Mumbai 11/8/2005 6:16:10 PM IST Print this news

To showcase the benefits of digital printing technology, Xerox India is hosting a two-city road show in Delhi and Mumbai on November 8 and 10 respectively. Targeted at graphic arts, commercial printers, direct marketing, advertising companies and corporates, the road-show is designed to showcase Xerox's unique innovations in the digital printing business. Over the next two days, Xerox will bring together digital printing evangelists to demonstrate applications and solutions to help commercial printers accelerate performance and make more profit.

Xerox also announced the launch of one of its latest color solutions, the DocuColor240/250 printer-copier for color intensive environments. Depending on the customer's existing workflow, Xerox offers the choice of CREO, EFI and DocuColor SP controllers/servers with the DocuColor 240/250. Designed to cater to the graphic communications, pay for print professionals, centralized reproduction departments, commercial printers and workgroups, the DocuColor 240/250 has a printing speed of up to 40/50 pages per minute for color and 55/65 pages per minute for Black & White.

It offers sharp printing and copying at 2400 x 2400 dpi and the entry-based price for the DocuColor 240/250 is Rs. 24,95,000/- The unique high-gloss finish, superior print quality, outstanding color management tools & optional accessories like the professional finisher allow making on-demand brochures, booklets, catalogues etc in-house.

peaking at Innovate '05, Vipin Tuteja, Director, Production Systems Group, Xerox India Limited, said, "Digital printing is fast catching up and Indian customers are fast realizing the benefits of Print-On-Demand. This is evident from the fact that one third of digital work will be personalized by end of 2006 and 20 percent of all print jobs will have faster turn around by the year 2010. We expect the Print-On-Demand market to grow 15 percent in 2006."

Added Tuteja, "With the launch of DocuColor 240/250, Xerox has further strengthened its offering of innovative products for color intensive environments across a range of verticals. We will continue to develop new technology and build on existing technology to serve the graphic communications industry with our market-leading products."
