I've only read the results in the Post poll.

The WSJ/NBC poll (which just came out, I believe) I haven't read in detail... but the questions are likely similar.

I'm sure that both polling groups asked the same question of their respondents, then and now, but there may be some differences in phraseology between the two group's polls.

It would only be fair to compare the results of one group's poll to their own previous polls --- since the phrasing may be different between them.

However, the Post's results showed Bush lower on that question then Clinton... even during the depths of Whitewater and Monica.... (Nixon was still lower, however, just before his resignation.)

Unlike Nixon, Bush has held on to much more support from his own Party, a major difference... but the disapproval of Dems and Independents is very similar.
