They don't have PGE; PGE isn't buying it anymore. I think that fell out with deregulation. The best you can do is zero out, and they get to use the xs for free. Which is one reason why I'm only getting a modest set-up. No corporate welfare for the Monopoly Man.

Got the rebate approval last week. Have to go down to the contractor about 12/1 to start applying for the permit, etc.
Has to be installed by the end of April for the rebate, + I now get a 30% fed tax credit.

They are way low on panel inventory. Last month when I stopped in, they had nothing. Have some in stock now. They say Kyocera is opening a new plant in Mexico. Bad news is panels have gone up about 15% in price. Good news is they are now 190 watts, instead of 187. Plus the inverter cost has dropped.

I need to figure out whether I'm putting it on the roof, or on the side of the hill. That would involve trenching, and I'm a little uncertain of the practicality of that. We shall see.
