Ian, Problably a good strategy for those who have not held XON for too long or that do not have large paper profits. I considered your actions but because of the gains I have the IRS would take about 11% of my money so I would have fewer shares even with the drop in price you benefited from. I agree that we may see little movement or movement within the recent trading range for the near term. The Middle Eastern problems we are seeing with Israel and Palestine could be a trouble spot however this must be tempered with Iraqi oil starting to flow with world oil supplies quite high.
