Sounds interesting... Frankly, I don't think you can maintain an empire in this day and age. Britain could exploit the locals and resources to pay the military expenses... it was not politically correct but it was accepted practice. Now I think the world would howl bloody murder if we were to, for instance, take Iraqi oil for our own. Disregarding moral authority, the Iraq adventure is a bad business decision. John
