Looks like the semiconductors are now a value play. Have rolled profits into some of them during the oil service rally and now reaping the gains from this play. A stronger USD is typically good for technology stocks, but with all the paper currency sloshing around the world, gold is still a good hard asset to hold for long term insurance against what Alan Greenspan terms "extreme chaos". IMHO chaos is relative. For example, if you own a multi-family when real estate goes bust from higher rates, you are probably having no problem renting your property. The higher rates move the less people qualify for mortgages and so they must rent.

FWIW, yesterday I bot F because of the chart and because all the PSUN, cell phone, and IPOD kids are going to be buying cars now and for the next few years.
