23 hours on an aircraft is quite a while. Living in NZ, we become accustomed to long flights. For years I have thought that I would most like to be horizontal, with a little reading light, so I could read if I wanted, or could sleep comfortably. Airlines could stack people five-high in little tubes, like sardines. I don't require real meals. I'd be happy with sandwiches or easy-eat food. They could fit a lot more people in an aircraft.
