It is supposed to be a wonderful thing for young kids to sacrifice their lives for fat cats on the golf course. The LORDS will always manipulate the serfs. Therefore--even though I am a Capitalist at heart...I applaud the efforts of people to make social contracts which address some of the issues of human poverty, sickness, and misery. Provided these contracts are democratically initiated they are voluntary.

The game of subsidies and whining is another matter. The squeaky wheel gets the grease and the organized whiners get the cheese. It is a failing of democracy which is perhaps best remedied through Constitutional legalese...
