You idiot, 1998 was the year Clinton bombed the hell out of every suspected WMD site. All those 1998 statements were to convince Americans, including rightwingers who were complaining, that the four-day bombing campaign was justified. And who knows, maybe it was in 1998, at least to some extent, but in 2003 a full-scale invasion and occupation of Iraq wqith proper allies or any plan was totally unjtsified. And the only reason most people allowed it was because Bush-Cheney doctored the intel and were lying to them.

Bottomline, nothing in 1998 is relevant to 2003.
