But Florida screwed the fishing over in the 1970s when they filled the marshes to plant houses on them. Oil doesn't impact the fishing much, else Texas and Louisiana would be much worse than they are. Building on nursery areas does.

Having said that, the trash the people on the rigs throw out is really annoying...
